Research Statement:
My research interests surround medical and political sociology. More specifically, I am interested in how the social construction of illness, particularly as it applies to reproductive and obstetrical care (chronic pain, abortion, maternal and fetal care) interact with innately politicized systems and provisions of care. Within this, my research focuses additionally on intersectional identity, comparative analyses, health policy and the sociology of law.
