Profile:

Aida grew up in a Mexican Immigrant community in the Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Albuquerque in 2017 to complete her bachelor's in psychology and began conducting research through the Mellon  Mays Undergraduate Fellowship. This led to her budding career in academics. For her master's she went back to Chicago and conducted research in a community very close to where she grew up. Now as a Ph.D. student, she hopes to continue working with and researching the health of Mexican Immigrant communities.
