Wednesday, October 2, 3-4:30 pm, Travelstead Hall, UNM. Panel Discussion: Exploring the Racial and Gender Politics of Kamala Harris’ Candidacy. Co-sponsored by our Department (along with many others). 
Friday October 4th from 8:00am to 3:00pm, SUB Ballrooms, UNM. Transforming UNM’s HSI Identity and Praxis: Beyond Hispanic-Enrolling to Hispanic-Serving Symposium.  The objective of this symposium is to share promising practices for creating a Hispanic serving culture and practice at the University of New Mexico. We will be joined by renowned scholar, Dr. Gina Ann Garcia who will be walking us through a series of activities to reflect on how we can create Hispanic-Serving culture across campus. Open to all.
