My research interests are primarily in comparative youth studies and the sociology of lifestyle sports. I am interested in how different societies structure the transition to adulthood in distinct ways, how youth from different social backgrounds approach the transition to adulthood, and the impact of individualized sports and leisure activities like skateboarding on youth and their development.
