My sociological research interests are primarily in understanding the modern transition to adulthood across different societies, with a focus on both institutional and structural variations and cross-cultural familial differences associated with individualism and collectivism. In addition, my professional work engages with several aspects of New Mexico’s investments in early childhood including home visiting and child care programs, child care assistance subsidies, workforce and professional development for early childhood educators, and retention and turnover in these employment fields.
