Three UNM Sociology Graduate Students have forthcoming publications:

Sofia Locklear recently co-authored an essay with Distinguished Professor Emeritus Howard Waitzkin.  The essay is entitled, "Doctor-patient relationships," and is published in Hilary Callan and Catherine Panter-Brick (Eds.) International Encyclopedia of Anthropology (London and New York: Wiley-Blackwell, 2018).

Alex MacLennan’s master thesis, "A Matter of Health and Safety: Science and the State in Texas Abortion Legislation” will be forthcoming in Advances in Medical Sociology, Vol. 20: Reproduction, Health, and Medicine. 

Sam Torres's master thesis, “Vulnerable to Disparity? The Imperfect Alignment of Neighborhood Relative Inequality with the Racial Invariance Thesis,” has been accepted at Justice Quarterly.
